As implant dentistry was starting to emerge in the mid-1990s as the ‘world’s best solution’ for patients with missing tooth or multiple teeth, Dr New, having a keen interest in surgery, undertook training in this discipline to ensure his patients are offered the best possible treatment options.

Due to his extensive experience and exceptional subject matter knowledge, he is often invited by reputed implant manufacturing companies such as Swiss Straumann Group, Nobel Biocare, 3M for conducting trainings. He is also called upon by clinicians as an ‘Implant Treatment Trouble-shooter’ for helping them in complicated cases acquired from outside of their practice or for the cases from within.

Dr New’s patients include from all walks of life with wide range of cases with a thing in common – ‘looking to transform their smiles for better’ which Dr New does the best.

A self-described “continuing education junkie”, Dr Hillel constantly furthers his knowledge to expand his repertoire of treatments for his patients. Since graduating from the University of Melbourne Dental School in 1991, he has undertaken special training over the world, from the US to the UK, South Korea to Sweden.

On the flip side of the coin, he is also a leading educator, lecturing and training on implant placement and prosthetics in Australia and internationally.

Dr Hillel’s professional affiliations include the Australian Dental Association, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the Australian Osseointegration Society.
